The KD-3 drilling fluid density and temperature sensor is designed for measuring the density and temperature of the drilling mud in the receiving containers.
Differential density sensor and temperature KD-3 is installed in the receptacle in an upright position in places where no volume is formed, and there is no intense mixing of the drilling mud.
The principle of operation is based on the fact that the volume density of the drilling mud is proportional to the value of the difference in hydrostatic pressure on a constant vertical measuring base. The differential pressure converter produces an electrical signal corresponding to the difference in pressure, and hence the density of the drilling fluid.
Sensor of density and temperature KD-3 consists of converters of differential pressure and temperature, a normalizing amplifier, located in a collapsible case, and mounting devices that provide the installation of the sensor and adjust the depth of its immersion. All sensor nodes and fittings are made of stainless steel.
